Edge hardware for living pipelines
WER-12TW draws every picowatt it needs from plant rhizosphere potential and microbial fuel cells already present in the system — no batteries, no wiring, continuous operation.

WER-12TW runs at 0.48 V in the sub-threshold domain, so the whole node — compute, sensing and radio duty cycle — fits inside what its biological environment can supply.
Three harvesting sources feed the node directly from the pipeline it monitors — each contributes more than the node needs to stay awake.
Every sensor is polled on the enzymatic dwell schedule, so measurement windows — not idle listening — set the power cost.
Continuous H⁺ ion activity tracking without the fouling that affects glass electrodes over long deployments.
Direct monitoring of pMMO / sMMO methanotroph hydroxylation rates inside the living pipeline.
Solid-state ammonium and nitrite sensing for Anammox stoichiometric balance verification.
Real-time detection of the DES extraction boundary layer as it shifts through the pipeline.
WER-12TW is qualified for prolonged contact with living pipeline media under the following standards.

Terms
Use of the WER-12TW platform, its firmware, and this site is subject to KAADE CONSTRUCTION's standard terms of service, provided at the time of deployment or licensing agreement. Nodes are supplied for installation within living pipeline systems by qualified personnel; KAADE CONSTRUCTION is not responsible for outcomes resulting from installation outside the documented electrical and biological compatibility envelope.
Service and support enquiries are handled directly by KAADE CONSTRUCTION at kaadeconstruction@gmail.com.
The WER-12TW hardware design, its sub-threshold power architecture, and the Net Energy Positive for the Impact name and materials are proprietary to KAADE CONSTRUCTION. Firmware is built on the open riscv32e-unknown-none-elf toolchain and the Rust no_std ecosystem; KAADE CONSTRUCTION's own firmware modules remain proprietary except where distributed under an explicit open-source licence.
WER-12TW is designed against three commitments: the node must draw less power than the living system already provides, it must be certifiably safe for direct and indirect biological contact, and it must require no scheduled battery or wiring service across its deployed life. Every design decision — from the sub-threshold voltage domain to the shared sensor bus — is evaluated against these three commitments before manufacture.
KAADE CONSTRUCTION uses AI-assisted digital twin agents across its product line to accelerate documentation, simulation, and code generation. For WER-12TW, automation supports drafting and consistency checks across technical documentation; electrical specifications, certification claims, and firmware behaviour described on this site are reviewed against engineering source data before publication.
KAADE CONSTRUCTION is committed to building engineering teams and partner networks that reflect a broad range of backgrounds, disciplines, and lived experience. We aim to make our documentation, hiring practices, and partnership programs accessible to underrepresented engineers and researchers working across hardware, firmware, and bio-process fields.
